Lukáš Jiřička (1979) – playwright, director of radioart projects, creator of exhibition installations and films, publicist (“A2”, “HIS Voice”, “Respekt”, “Hospodářské noviny”, “Glissando”, “Didaskalia”). He studied comparative literature at Faculty of Theater of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he also received his doctorate. As part of his studies, he did an internship at Ludwik Solski’s State Theatre Academy in Kraków, where he was Krystian Lupa’s assistant and at the Institute of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen, where he studied under the supervision of Heiner Goebbels. He is one of the playwrights of Stilmul, festival of alternative music in Prague. He work as editor and Polish translator, he wrote a book Identita v době otřesu /Skici o současném polském divadle. He worked with directors such as Petra Tejnorová, Matyáš Dlab and Magda Stojowska, with a choreographic duo VerTeDance or 420PEOPLE group. He created radio compositions for Czech Radio with composers such as Matěj Kratochvíl, Michał Rataj, Jacek Sienkiewicz, Robert Piotrowicz, Paul Wirkus or the creator of experimental films Martin Ježek and director Tomáš Procházka. Apart from his works devoted for radio and galleries, he makes experimental films with Martinem Ježek (Jak se dělá počasí, Hra na ohradu) and Petr Šprincl (Morava, krásná zem). He is a lecturer at the Film and Television Faculty and the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Scenic Arts in Prague.
